Gravelly Shoal was established in 1939, and is one of the lights constructed in art deco design. It is constructed of steel and concrete, and is located 2.7 miles offshore. It stands 65 feet tall, and because it is active, it is not open to the public. It can be seen from Point Lookout, but is not recommended due to the private residents inhabiting all of the Point Lookout property. |
